Defining Justification

How is a man just with God? How does a man perceive his own right standing with God in his conscience? How do others come to recognize us as being saved people?

Continuing our series in which we define Bible concepts, we come to the subject of justification. As with any Bible concept, the disciple must approach this subject in a scholarly manner, seeking to "rightly divide" the word of truth. Similar to sanctification, the word justify has different settings and contexts in scripture and in short, there are different ways a child of Grace can be justified. The word itself is a legal term meaning "to declare one righteous," and so depending on the "court room" under consideration, we're justified by different things (blood, faith, works). Radio broadcast for August 23, 2015.
