On this program, we answer a question many people ask upon hearing the truth of God's Sovereign Grace.
If God chose me to salvation before the world began, His Son came and died for me, redeeming me, and the Spirit of God has already given me spiritual life, enabling me to believe the gospel message, then what specifically is there for ME to do?
That is a great question!
We will learn from the scriptures today, that if you're a person who is a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, you're someone who God has given spiritual life. You hunger and thirst after righteousness and mourn over your sins. The Bible commands you to repent and be baptized. Not because you lack eternal life, but because God has given you eternal life. You may say, "I am already a member of a religious order." Well, God commands everyone that names the name of Christ to depart from iniquity, to continually seek repentance. Perhaps repentance can be found from a secret sin, or an erroneous theological belief or practice.
Regardless of the error, God's Word commands all of his children to repent. So to answer the question, what shall I do? We play this morning's broadcast entitled REPENT.
